Congratulations to the Giants for earning every bit of their win over the Pats. Tom Brady hasn't been knocked around like that in a while. Joe made the point about the Giants rookies being major contributors recently and they did it again. Here is an interesting profile of Eli Manning by Michael Lewis from 2004 (via GQ). Apparently he scored in the 99th percentile on the NFL's Wonderlic Test, an entrance exam used in many other professions as well. Also, When Giants GM Ernie Accorsi drafted him it was because he reminded Accorsi of a certain Colts QB. Not Peyton Manning, but Johnny Unitas. United Airlines announced yesterday that on May 5th, it will begin charging passengers for checking a second bag, unless they are part of a frequent flier program. Essentially, United Airlines is asking its two-bag customers to pay the difference for the rising fuel prices. jmj
