The Daily Kos brings to light the ever so fragile hold that Hillary Clinton has on her current Superdelegates. This article was the most interesting and informative political article I've read all season. This is the type of news and analysis that is noteworthy. glc

Speaking of Jessica Hagy. I encourage you to open todays Wall Street Journal and look at the bottom right hand corner of B1. Ask yourself, what's more smoke and mirrors, 'tradtiional software pitches' or the idea that salesforce.com actually came up with that ad idea without ripping off Jessica Hagy. Sorry I can't find the ad online. glc

John McCain really does make me want to puke. So much so that I can't even find it in myself to chuckle at this Will.i.am parody for the McCain campaign. (via snarkmarket) glc

NPR blogger and Sleater-Kinney's Carrie Brownstein on Sunday night's 50th Annual Grammy Awards:
I think I missed Brad Paisley but I get to see Feist. After the Broadway-like productions of some of the other acts, it's refreshing to see a singer on stage with only a guitar. The moment comes across as brave, even though there are people doing this very thing every night. But not at The Grammys they're not.
I couldn't have said it better myself. While a majority of the show was pure garbage, Feist's performance was genuine. jmj

Former MLB pitcher John Rocker made the claim yesterday on two radio shows in Atlanta, GA that not only did Commissioner Bud Selig know that Rocker failed a drug test in 2000, but MLB doctors and officials advised the controversial pitcher on how to properly take steroids. I know that Rocker isn't the most reliable of sources, but neither was José Canseco. jmj

Florida Panthers' Richard Zednik was accidentally slashed in the throat by his teammates skate blade during Sunday's game against Buffalo. His carotid artery was immediately severed. A quick science lesson: the carotid artery carries blood to the brain while the jugular vein carries blood away from the brain. Pressure is much greater in the carotid artery which would explain the outrageous amounts of blood on the ice and the fact that he lost roughly 5 units of blood throughout the ordeal. He underwent surgery Monday to reapir the damage and fortunately is on the road to making a full recovery. The video is a bit gorey so watch at your own discretion if you feel so inclined. glc

I would assume most individuals who drink coffee, hot chocolate, or tea find themselves staring from time to time into the ever changing patterns coming to life at the top of the surface. I've never though, been fortunate enough to see real life fractals dance like ever changing cracks across an icy pond. Bad Ass! glc
