I's sure most of you have heard recently, about the abundance of prescription drugs found in our drinking water. The effects of which are yet to be know. Seed presents some important questions, though we are still without answers. glc

FDA studies are geared toward determining the effects of therapeutic doses of a drug over a short period of time. Clinical trials are not designed to tell researchers the effects of taking subtherapeutic doses of a drug over a lifetime, and no one knows how extensive these might be.

Borders is turning their shelved books cover side out in hopes of increasing sales. An obvious reaction to the dominance of online book retailers. A side effect will be a reduction in the number of titles they visibly carry. Creating an even greater divide between the big book chain and the infinite online superstores who face no such display concerns. I'm not sure how enlarging the inventory divide, the greatest threat to the in store retailer, will somehow stem the tide of online shoppers. (thx tmn) glc
