International Olympic Committee (IOC) officials believe that while Beijing's air pollution will not harm the athletes, it will affect their performances and likely postpone some events. I don't think that's going to go over very well with the athletes, especially those in endurance sports. jmj

Last week, an Australian woman was sentenced to eight years in prison for murdering her husband. Her motive? She was tired of being told what to do, and not being allowed to listen to Bruce Springsteen was the final straw. Yikes. jmj
