Arizona State University decided to drop three sports this week; men's wrestling, men's tennis, and men's swimming. I can't say much about the the tennis and swimming communities, but I do know that the wrestling community is furious. Sadly, this is another case of Title IX gone bad. jmj

The U.S. Congress learned yesterday that most of the financial aid that is being provided by the U.S. to Afghanistan and Pakistan never gets there. jmj

Daytrotter Radio, a music website launched in 2006 by music critic Sean Moeller provides daily "Daytrotter Sessions," in which bands come into the studio and record original songs. The songs are then posted on the website for free. Last week, Daytrotter Radio joined forces with Philadelphia's WXPN to produce a weekly radio show. jmj
