Philadelphia developers Walnut Street Capital received some help last week when City Councilman Darrell Clarke introduced legislation for zoning changes at the 18th and Arch streets in downtown Philadelphia. As we brought to you back in April, the firm's proposal is to build the American Commerce Center, the soon-to-be tallest skyscraper in America. While the building looks magnificent, there is one major flaw in their proposal. Both the Chicago Spire and the Freedom Tower in New York City, are already under construction, and will be taller. jmj

Keeping on the same topic, architect David Fisher held a press conference late last week to announce the construction of the Dynamic Tower in Dubai, the world's first moving building, an 80-story tower with revolving floors, giving it a shifting shape. jmj
