Walk Score rates and ranks America's most walkable cities and neighborhoods. With 2,500 neighborhoods in 40 US cities their scope isn't so bad. Plus their walk score distribution maps are a sight to behold. My hood, Fairmount, rates at a 90, a Walkers' Paradise. Of the 138 neighborhoods from major cities that score a 90 or above, reaching the Walkers' Paradise level, New York is home to a whopping 38 of them! glc
My neighborhood, Newtown, scored a 92. Take that, Fairmount! jmj
Booyah, Hoboken is a 94 (I know, that's cheating because I live in the Heights, still an 85). tjc
