The Associated Press found the Xinhua report on the site Thursday morning and saved a copy of the page. Later that afternoon, the Web site was still working but the page was no longer accessible. Sports editors at the state-run news agency would not comment for publication.

More from the Olympics. Sweden's Ara Abrahamian won the Bronze Medal in Greco Roman Wrestling in the 84kg division. He then dropped the medal on the mat in protest during the ceremony. glc

As an avid wrestling fan, I must say that Ara Abrahamian did get screwed in his semifinal match-up against the eventual Gold Medal winner. FILA is constantly changing the rules, and they have become way too subjective. That's still no reason to act the way he did, however. I also don't like that the fact that wrestling has two Bronze Medal winners; I'll never quite wrap my brain around it. jmj
