After reading a WSJ article about the supposed man behind the MLB logo, ESPN.com's Uni Watch author Paul Lukas, recently got to the bottom of the debate behind who created the iconic image. eab

I've long thought that Derek Jeter was one of the worst fielders in baseball. Particularly not deserving of his Gold Glove Awards in 2004, 2005 and 2006. Well a panel of 10 statisticians, including Baseball Abstract author Bill James, agree. Jeter is the worst fielder in all of baseball. eab

Although I enjoy the NFL more than NCAA football, I've long thought that NCAA football has a certain allure to it. I'm not so sure that I'd say that it's more competitive and cutthroat, but it's an idea. jmj
